Two-hour ticket

If you plan to make several journeys within two hours, get a two-hour ticket available on a single-charge card. The ticket is valid for two hours from the time it is first used, including during the night fare hours.

Two-hour tickets are available for all zones, i.e. there are one-zone tickets, regional tickets, as well as 2-zone and 3-zone extended regional tickets. There are tickets for adults and children.

Two-hour tickets are sold at R-kiosks in the Helsinki metropolitan area, VR’s booking offices, Stockmann department stores, K-Citymarkets, Prisma stores, Helsinki City Tourist Office, Tourist information at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport and Travel Card service points in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa.

Show the single-charge card to the card reader when boarding a vehicle or entering the metro. The area of validity is registered on the card at the moment of purchase and thus, you only need to show the card to the reader without pressing any of the buttons. If your ticket is valid, the card reader emits an audible and a green light appears. 

The ticket is valid from the time it is first used. To check the expiry time of your ticket, hold the card on the reading area of the card reader.
