Safety and security
Safety instructions for metro passengers can be found both at metro stations and above the doors on the metro trains. The instructions e.g. tell you how and when to use an emergency phone or emergency stop, and they also provide useful telephone numbers.
An emergency stop control located in the platform area stops an approaching train. It should be used only if someone falls or jumps on the tracks.
If you witness an emergency situation or need to call for e.g. for medical assistance, please call the metro emergency centre (09) 310 12 112. You can also report disturbances by calling the same number.
When calling the emergency number from the metro train, please tell the car number, direction of the train and its location. The car number can be found e.g. on the safety instructions above the doors.
Do not ride on an escalator with large items of baggage, pram or pushchair, bicycle or pets. All metro stations have lifts. Hold small children by the hand, do not allow them to ride escalators alone.
In case of emergency, stop the escalator by pressing the emergency stop button located at the top and bottom landings. Report the emergency by calling to the metro emergency centre, (09) 310 12 112.
